Dutch Lotteries

The Dutch state lottery was established in 1726 and is the oldest lottery in the world. The Dutch lottery system operates under a government-controlled monopoly. In addition to the government-run lotteries, there are three charitable lotteries in the country, which must give 50% of their proceeds to charitable causes – the new Remote Betting and Gaming Bill aims to drop that total to 40% in the coming years.

De Lotto is the main lottery operator in the Netherlands. In addition to offering traditional lottery games, De Lotto is the country’s only sports betting operator.
